Green Journeys Africa (the company) organizes safaris in Rwanda and in neighbouring countries. In these terms and conditions, “you” means all persons named on the booking (including anyone who is added or substituted at a later date) and “we” and “us” means Green Journeys Africa. These terms are amended from time to time due to changing circumstances; the terms at the time of booking are the terms that are valid. Conditions in Africa are not the same as those in developed countries and standards of service, medical facilities, safety and security may often be lower than those in your home countries. Please note that it is the laws and regulations of the country in which services are provided which apply to your holiday arrangements and not those of your home country.

Gorilla Permits
Only when the deposit has been received can Gorilla permits be purchased. However, having this permit does not guarantee you seeing a Gorilla as local conditions can make trekking to the Gorillas impossible at short notice. We are not liable for any circumstances that may lead to you not viewing the Gorillas due to closures of National Parks or borders, absence of the Gorillas or security changes.
As refunds are at the discretion of the relevant authority and we are not responsible for them. We will endeavour to obtain a refund and subsequently, if a refund is obtained then it shall be passed onto the client.
Payment
At the time of booking you must confirm acceptance of these terms and conditions and pay a deposit of 50% of the price of your holiday and this includes fees for gorilla permits (See also section on gorilla permits). If written acceptance is not received from you, we shall assume acceptance of the Terms and Conditions. The balance must be paid in full not later than 30 days before departure. Bookings made within 30 days of departure must be paid in full at the time of booking.

Cancellations and Refunds
You have a right to cancel our agreement without penalty and without giving any reason and this right can be exercised by contacting us directly as soon as possible. Subsequently, your right of cancellation will also cancel any related credit agreements.
Should you or any member of your party be forced to cancel, you must advise us in writing. A cancellation is not effective until we receive a copy of your written notice. To cover our estimated loss caused by the cancellation and as we may be unable to resell your holiday, cancellation fees, excluding insurance, will be levied for your tour.
If a cancellation is made 60 days prior to your tour start date, then a service charge of 15% of the total charge for your tour will be paid by the client. If the cancellation occurs 45 – 59 days prior to the start date of the tour the client will incur charges of 50% of the total cost of the tour. If a cancellation occurs between 30 – 44 days prior to the start date of the tour then a charge will be made to the client of 70% of the total cost of the tour. If a tour is cancelled any less than 30 days before a tour is due to begin then the client will incur all charges and pay the full cost of the tour.
Occasionally we have to cancel confirmed bookings. We always endeavor to avoid canceling, but we reserve the right to do so. Unfortunately, we can be forced to do so as a result of unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, the consequences of which we could not have avoided even with all due care.
If we cancel your tour, then a full refund of your monies is available to you, including that of the amount paid for
